Validation Student position

Join AST SpaceMobile’s Satellite RAN (SAT-RAN) Validation team as a part-time student engineer and contribute to the forefront of Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) communication technology.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will take an active part in validating software and firmware features across the full system stack — from RF and physical layer hardware through to end-to-end RAN functionality — working alongside a talented and diverse international team of engineers and scientists.
• You will gain hands-on experience building and maintaining lab setups, executing system-level validation activities, and leveraging advanced automated testing tools — including AI-based solutions — to ensure performance and reliability across both hardware and software domains.
• Operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will be exposed to the complete lifecycle of RAN feature validation and develop practical, cross-disciplinary skills that bridge academic learning with real-world engineering challenges at the frontier of global satellite connectivity.
• Build, configure, and maintain lab setups to support ongoing validation activities.
• Develop and utilize automated testing tools, including AI-based solutions, to improve validation efficiency.
