Our Lab
We study the cancer cells that survive chemotherapy and lead to relapse, which we term persister cells. We focus on high-risk neuroblastoma, a pediatric tumor with ~50% mortality rates, and seek novel immunotherapies to prevent relapse.
Dr. Liron Grossmann is a physician-scientist at the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Department at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital, Sheba Medical Center, and a visiting scientist at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Scientist at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer.
The Scientist will be responsible for:
• Conducting scientific research and experiments
• Analyzing and interpreting data
• Presenting findings
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in Israel, USA, and Germany
• Contributing to scientific publications and grant proposals
• Participating in professional development and staying updated with advancements in the field

PhD in life sciences with focus on cancer molecular biology and immunology
Experience in:
• Cell culture
• Flow cytometry
• Transfection and transduction using viruses (including CRISPR)
• RNA and protein assays
• In vivo mouse models, including drug administration via PO, IP, and tail vein injections
High communication and organizational skills
