Program Manager - Global Master’s Program

Tel Aviv University is preparing to launch a prestigious new one-year global master’s program in the Faculty of Social Sciences. This innovative and interdisciplinary program will bring together exceptional graduate students from around the world and provide them with access to Israel’s top scholars, thought leaders, and institutions.

Designed as a unique academic and experiential journey, the program will feature intensive coursework, tailored learning experiences, and opportunities for students to engage with visiting world-class faculty. It is set to launch in two years (first cohort to start on October 2027), and we are now recruiting a talented and experienced Program Manager to lead its development and delivery.

About the Role:

The Program Manager will serve as the founding administrative manager of the program, responsible for building it from the ground up and later overseeing its day-to-day operations. This is a strategic and hands-on position that combines vision, planning, and execution.

During the pre-launch phase, the Program Manager will focus on building the program’s infrastructure, defining workflows and policies, coordinating with faculty and university leadership, and helping shape the program’s brand and identity. As the program enters its operational phase, the manager will recruit and lead a team and ensure the program delivers an outstanding academic and student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Launch Phase (Years 1–2):

  • Coordinate across TAU departments to establish academic and administrative infrastructure
  • Develop the program’s operational plan
  • Lead branding and marketing efforts
  • Liaise with top international faculty for visiting teaching appointments
  • Support the creation of strategic partnerships with institutions and scholars abroad
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise a team to support the program’s implementation
  • Develop and manage the program’s budget
  • Liaise with the program’s donors and Board of Directors
  • Report regularly to university leadership on progress, risks, and milestones

Post-Launch Phase:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the program
  • Manage staff, budget, and internal workflows
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of academic, co-curricular, and student support activities
  • Serve as primary liaison between students, faculty, and university administration
  • Ensure continuous program assessment and innovation
  • Represent the program internally and externally
דרישות 
  • Master’s degree (required)
  • Fluency in English and very good proficiency in Hebrew (written and spoken)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, including:
  • Managerial experience
  • Proven success as a project manager
  • Demonstrated experience managing large or complex budgets
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and timelines
  • Experience working independently and taking initiative in dynamic environments
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in or with academic institutions
  • Familiarity with the Israeli higher education system
  • Experience in marketing and outreach
  • Background in international education or global academic programs
