The Unit for Social Involvement at TAU
The Unit for Social Involvement manifests Tel Aviv University's deep commitment to social values and responsibility, and offers a diverse and unique framework for students and faculty to influence the community. The unit aspires to leverage the university's unique resources: knowledge, reputation and, especially, human capital. Every year 900 TAU students and faculty help 15,000 people through programs supported by the Unit for Social Involvement and its partners.
Today's students are tomorrow's leaders
Today's students will one day hold key positions and affect Israel’s economic and social reality. The Unit for Social Involvement offers students a variety of leadership and social entrepreneurship programs designed to broaden their perspectives and provide new skills and experiences.
Academic knowledge integrated with social engagement
Faculty of TAU has a vast knowledge relevant to civil society. The unit for social involvement encourages faculty to civil action and to developing social initiatives and academic courses which integrate social perspectives and field work.
To bridge gaps and engage communities
The Unit for Social Involvement manifests Tel Aviv University's deep commitment to social values and responsibility to the community. The unit has developed the flagship program of the University for Social Engagement to encourage youth from Israel’s social periphery to strive for higher education. The comprehensive framework of the program enables hundreds of students and faculty to engage. Hopefully many of the youth will one day be the future students of TAU.
